Our History
We believe that we can save more lives
Metameta Orphanage began with a profound act of faith and compassion by Pastor Mrs. Violet Malle, a dedicated widow and community leader in Dar es Salaam. The foundation of the orphanage was rooted in a single, life-altering event in 2006 when a child was found left on the doorsteps of a church by a mother unable to provide care. This pivotal moment crystallized Pastor Malle’s mission: she took the child in, providing immediate safety and love, and quickly realized this vulnerable child represented countless others.
"Whoever saves a single life is considered to have saved the whole world."
